Normandy, France
A 3-day/3-night Exploration of Normandy
May 29 - Jun 1, 2026

Enjoy the stunning variety of sights, scenes and tastes of Normandy on this exceptional exploration for 6 to 9 participants setting out from Paris.

Led by Gary Lee Kraut, this 3-day/3-night adventure offers an excellent sense of the major historical periods and events that have marked Normandy:

- The D-Day Landing Beaches, including the Normandy American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and more.

- The famous Bayeux tapestry telling of the conquest of England by William the Conqueror,

- The beautiful old port town of Honfleur.

- The luxury resort of Deauville.

- Monet’s House and Gardens, along with an introduction to Norman cuisine, cheese and Calvados, the apple brandy.

The adventure ends with a visit the Chateau de Chantilly on our return to the Paris region. From there, you’ll then be an easy taxi or train ride to Charles de Gaulle Airport or Paris the morning of June 1.

This all-inclusive adventure sets out from Paris the morning of May 29. It’s therefore a natural post-tour add-on to Shelley’s May 21-29, 2026 culinary and cultural adventure in Paris or can be arranged as a pre-tour add-on for Shelley’s June 3-11, 2026 culinary adventure in Gascony. Travelers interested in joining on this Normandy trip as a stand-alone tour are also welcome.

All participants of this Normandy trip must be in Paris by the evening of May 28. Hotel arrangements can be made for those not already on the May 21-29 Paris adventure, and newcomers have the opportunity to join on the wine bar event that caps off that Paris adventure.
